RESULTS MATTER! Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling Charges Dropped.

Updated: Feb 20, 2022

Client was charged with Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling after he was allegedly seen in the garage of a home rifling through belongings. The State Attorney's Office was seeking a lengthy prison sentence due to the seriousness of the offense and the defendant's bad criminal history. We decided that the best course was to fight the charges and subpoena witnesses for depositions (depositions provide an opportunity for the defense attorney to question the state's witnesses, under oath). After depositions, the prosecutor agreed to drop the charges.
